Southwest and Rockies Center for Inclusive Mentoring:
A Louis Stokes Regional Center of Excellence dedicated to promoting best practices in STEM Mentoring
Welcome to the Louis Stokes Southwest and Rockies Center for Inclusive Mentoring, where we have gathered a wide range of resources for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) mentoring of underrepresented minorities (URMs). Our goal is to provide mentors and mentees with information, tools, and articles that offer perspectives on the effects and outcomes of mentoring underrepresented students at the community college, four-year university, and graduate levels. These resources were carefully curated from a variety of sources, including the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER), and other organizations focused on STEM education and diversity. By leveraging these resources, we hope to support the success of URM students in STEM and encourage more effective and wholistic mentoring practices across all levels of education.
